Carol Mumford is our Associate Pastor.
She joined PUMC as the Program Coordinator in 1986, a lay
ministry position. She later went to Claremont School of Theology,
becoming a Diaconal Minister (and our Associate Pastor) in 1997. She
was subsequently
ordained a permanent deacon in the United Methodist Church
in June of 2000.
Carol graduated from California Western U. (now Alliant Int’l U.) with a
B.S. in math-chemistry, then completed graduate work for a Calif.
Secondary Teaching Credential, with a minor in physics.
She subsequenlty served as Executive Director of a non-profit organization,
the 4 County Conference on Developmental Disabilities
(covered Navajo, Apache, Coconino and Yavapai counties) before coming
to PUMC.
Carol's work is vital to the congregation
as she plans and recruits leadership for the very diverse
ministries of the church. To accomplish these goals,
she keeps tabs on the
many volunteer needs of the church, and is quick to ask for
volunteers when needs arise. So when she asks you to volunteer for
something, remember that
she does more than her share and knows the joy you will
receive by saying "yes". We are very fortunate to have Carol
at PUMC! And
also her husband, Jerry who has "retired" from ADOT.

Bill Harris has
been the church custodian for over five years now. He is originally from
Philadelphia, and is still a big Eagles fan. Bill's work has grown as
the church has grown, and on January 1, 1999, Bill became a full-time
employee. When he isn't busy keeping the church looking great or helping
find some missing item needed by someone for a meeting, Bill enjoys
spending time with his dogs, playing pool, or working as a counselor
with teens in trouble. Bill's big news is that he was married on January
17, 2000. He and new wife Stephanie have two children living at home.
Bill is a former United States Marine. Semper Fi!
