Prayer Ministry

Chapel Prayer Group:

The Chapel Prayer Group at PUMC began eight years ago and has grown not only in the number of participants but more importantly, in the depth of dedication to the increasing need for prayer and study in the life of the individual, the church, the community and the world.

Study has included many themes but always using the Bible as its basic text supplemented with other writings concerning specific subjects.

In addition to prayer and study, the group furnishes Prayer Request Cards for the congregation to fill out and includes all prayer requests in its weekly prayer sessions. Planning and directing of special occasion Prayer Vigils, interfaith Prayer Meetings and Days of Prayer are regular activities.

This is an open-to-everyone fellowship which meets on most Thursdays during the fall, winter and spring from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Come join us!

Prayer Chain:

This activity involves both an e-mail chain and a telephone chain. Prayer requests are not limited to the congregation of PUMC. Prayer requests for anyone can be requested by anyone and the request will be placed on the Chains for an appropriate period of time.

An E-mail address and/or a telephone is all that is required for any individual to be a Prayer Chain participant. Participation is at the discretion of the individual as to time, manner and place for prayer. You are invited to become active in this Prayer activity by calling the church office at (928)778-1950.
