The music ministry of Prescott United Methodist Church is an exciting place to serve in God’s church. The music program is led by Mrs. Carole Nickerson, Director of Music Ministries. We are excited and thankful for our new choir rehearsal room and music library.

The Chancel Choir sings every Sunday at the 9:00 and l0:30 worship services; rehearsal is at 7:l5 on Wednesday evenings. This choir sings a variety of music, including traditional anthems, spirituals, and contemporary offerings.

The Celebration Choir, which has around 52 members, from youth up to -- oh, let's just say, old people who still feel young. They sing a couple times a month for our worship services on Saturday evenings and occasionally on Sunday mornings. This choir sings contemporary music, both acappella and accompanied pieces.

PUMC is very proud of its handbell choirs. The Chancel  Chimes choir meets on Tuesday mornings and plays intermediate to advanced handbell music for the occasional worship service. This choir also presents music to nursing homes and for the Acker Music festival in downtown Prescott in December.

The Hosanna Bells is our newest adult bell choir and is led by Anne Joyce. This choir is for beginning handbell ringers, yet the music they play is also both fun and enjoyable (together, they don't sound like "beginners"). Join this choir, and Anne will even teach you how to read music!

Our Saturday evening Praise Band continues to grow. We have enthusiastic song leaders, two guitarists, an accoustic bass, trumpet, keyboard, and several faithful drummers. If you like uplifting praise songs, this is the service for you.

At PUMC many people continue to serve God with their musical talents and gifts. We encourage others to join us in praising God in song.!!!
