Prescott United Methodist Church is known throughout the city as the church that does so much for the people of the community.
While everyone of every age is always welcome at PUMC, Shoes from the Shepherd and Sidewalk Sunday School are two events that specifically reach out the children of our community. We are overjoyed to have the Community Outreach programs of People Who Care, the Coalition for Compassion and Justice (CCJ) and Open Door on our campus. Each September the Veterans hold their weekend Stand Down offering special support and resources to the veterans of the area.
Our Hearts, Our Minds and Our Doors are always open to those who are seeking a comforting, listening ear and a place to rest the soul. On Saturday mornings, Granite Creek Hunger Ministry offers a nourishing meal to those in need at 11 am, at Prescott UMC Esther Hall during the cold months and at Granite Creek Park during the warm weather. It's a "pot luck" so everyone is invited to bring what they can (even if you simply bring yourself) and no one goes away hungry.
