The Lighter Side.

It's often been said that the church is the perfect place for imperfect people.  And periodically, we find our imperfections occuring here at PUMC, be it a slip of the tongue or an uncaught error in one of our bulletins.  So take a moment to join us in laughing at our more humorous imperfections as we admit to our humanness.

The 4th Annual Methodist Madness at Prescott UMC was great fun, but the surprise grand finale was our interpretation of the Hallelujah Chorus in silent Monk style.

At Pastor Carol's retirement party last December, we had many speakers recalling the many virtues about Carol and the many ways in which the church has been blessed by her service.  Then Bill, our Church Council leader, came up to the podium and began to tell about Carol's time while seeking her ordination and going to classes at seminary.  As he began, he told about her time at the CEMETARY.  Now we all know the jokes about seminaries being like cemeteries, but this was a first for Bill, in front of the church with his gaffe.  As we all laughed, his face turned red, which just made it all the more funny.  We all had a good laugh, and even Bill was laughing about it (later).

Check back periodically for any updates, as well checking the daily cartoon.
