Looking for a church home? We would be pleased for you to consider our church as your spiritual home, so do come by to attend one of our services, either Saturday at 5 p.m. or Sunday at 9 or 10:30 a.m. The Saturday service is our casual service where we sing lots of country gospel and praise songs, as well as listen to another thought provoking sermon. The Sunday 9:00 worship service is generally the one with the most people, but if you come early there is plenty of seating. The 10:30 service is a great one for those who want to sleep in a little. We also have a Fellowship Time between those two services in Ester Hall; a time to meet your neighbors, while enjoying some beverages and snacks.

Stewardship: What does Stewardship mean? Does Stewardship mean more than just giving money to the church? As United Methodists, we are called to fathfully participate in the ministries of the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts and our sevice. Go to the Stewardship page for more information on stewardship and how PUMC is furthering the Kingdom of God thru the many gifts of Stewardship.

We have classes for all ages during the two Sunday morning services so everyone can come to worship and learn. Children and youth are encouraged to attend worship with their family; a Children's moment is part of all services providing a special time for the children. Children "Godly Play" Church School classes follow the Children's moment in all services for those children who don't want to sit thru the remaining worship service. For the little ones, nursery care is available for all three services, though the children are also welcome at all the services. Special activies are available for the youth; check out the Youth Web site for more information (and times) on those programs.

Our major parking area is the upper lot on the right as you enter from Gurley Street, while there is a separate, smaller handicapped lot just past the Family Life Center on the left. Parking can get a little tight between the 9:00 and 10:30 Sunday morning services, so feel free to park on the street if you can't find a parking space in the parking lots.

Labyrinth Have you checked out our labyrinth lately? PUMC youth recently spent a day removing the weeds and otherwise cleaning up the labyrinth area. Click here to learn more about the history of the labyrinth and how you can use as part of your meditation.

Concerned about The War? So are we. Check out our Dove of Peace banner that will remain hanging in our sanctuary until this war is over.

Every Wednesday we have a light supper at 5:15 p.m. for $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children (a real bargain!) followed by programs. At 6:15 people can stay to hear a variety of topics from music programs to travel logs, to educational topics of interest to the general public. For further information, see the Wonder Full Wednesday schedule. Two of our choirs rehearse at 6:15 and 7:15 from fall to spring. During the school year there are music classes for the youth beginning at 3:30. These include choir (2nd grade thru 6th grade), bell choir, and Sunshine Singers (ages 3 thru 1st grade.) Please contact to Carole Nickerson, PUMC Music Director, for further information.

October 2002

God has certainly showered His blessings on our church as we continue to grow. In October 2002, we completed our new Family Life Center, which has become our Worship Center. In July 2005 we were ‘gifted’ with two new ‘co-pastors’ George and Nancy Cushman. Their energy, enthusiasm and experience is warmly welcomed and we look forward to what God has for all of us in the coming times.
